SK-51 is a versatile all-in-one keyboard that draws inspiration from the iconic Casio SK-1 and SK-5, both 8-bit lo-fi keyboards from the 80s. Renowned for their sampling capabilities and onboard drum machines, these keyboards were considered the "poor man's sampler" and have been used by influential artists such as Fatboy Slim, Portishead, Autechre, and Nine Inch Nails.

At Fingerlab, we have a special connection to these keyboards as many of us composed our first songs using them as kids in the 80s. To capture that nostalgic feeling, we present the SK-51.

We meticulously recorded each instrument and drum note with professional-grade audio quality (16-bit/44KHz), faithfully recreating the sampling features and transcribing all the demo drum patterns. Additionally, we've included sounds from the renowned Casio VL-Tone keyboard, which predates the SK-1 but remains highly regarded.

The SK-51 boasts a user-friendly interface that closely mimics its real-life counterpart. With a wide range of instruments (including Trumpet, Flute, Piano, and Vibraphone), four sampling slots, numerous drum patterns and sounds, it caters to both versatility and enjoyment.
